He rose to fame following the success of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre. 50 Cent achieved multi-platinum success with both albums, selling over 21 million albums worldwide. He is known for his "gangsta" image.

50 Cent was a career criminal and drug dealer before his rap career, who was shot several times. After releasing the successful underground hit single How to Rob, he was discovered by rapper Eminem. He was signed to a million dollar contract, and with the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre produced his first major commerical successes. 50 Cent is now one of the most successful rap artists in the world and the founder of the highly succesful record label G-Unit Records.
