The annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event, which honors those making differences in their communities and around the globe, filled LA's Shrine Auditorium with plenty of stars last night. Emma Roberts was on hand to present in a short black Maria Lucia Hohan dress while Sofia Vergara chose dark hued Dolce & Gabbana and Brooklyn Decker went with a metallic Christian Dior number. Miley Cyrus, who performed ?The Climb,? arrived in a revealing yellow Roberto Cavalli gown with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth by her side. They weren't the only famous faces to show their support at the event since AnnaLynne McCord, Mary-Louise Parker, Christy Turlington, and others also came out for the show. CNN's own Anderson Cooper has since returned to NYC, but did his part by hosting the evening and wowing a few celebrities like Emma, who twittered that meeting him backstage was a dream come true.

Vanity Fair pulled off another star-studded Oscars party last night. Some stars, like Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt, Emma Stone, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer, arrived earlier to eat dinner and watch the show on TV, while others turned up after attending the big event hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco in person. Reese Witherspoon, who wowed in a Giorgi Armani gown, was solo on the red carpet before the show, but once at the bash she met up with her fianc?, Jim Toth. Cameron Diaz and one of the evening's performers, Gwyneth Paltrow, made it a ladies night as they caught up in a corner, but young lovers Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hardly left each other's sides. Natalie Portman and Colin Firth, the best actor and actress winners, walked inside with the best accessory possible, their Academy Award. She stuck close by her fianc?, Benjamin Millepied, following her stint in the press room talking about their baby, while Colin was finally able to get in some dancing with his wife.

Plenty of other Hollywood couples were able to sneak in PDA, as Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel cuddled up on a couch. Madonna chose to make things a family affair, showing skin in a lacy black dress alongside her daughter Lourdes. For others, it was about catching up with old friends. Jake Gyllenhaal had a nice chat with 50 Cent, and newly single stars Jude Law and Scarlett Johansson shared a moment documented in pictures. Michelle Williams, who was nominated for the best actress honor that ultimately went to Natalie, spent the whole evening with her friend and date Busy Philipps. Selena momentarily left Justin Bieber to catch up with her friend Taylor Swift, who managed to not be photographed anywhere near her ex Jake. He also had another former love, Reese, to avoid as well. Park City was bustling with celebrities this weekend as the 2011 Sundance Film Festival got underway. Buzz is on top of the latest news on what movies everyone is talking about and which are getting picked up, and we were hitting the party scene and scoping out what the stars were up to. The Bing bar was a huge hot spot with events from the My Idiot Brother bash to a late night Florence and the Machine concert, while the Variety lounge hosted their share of talent. Skullcandy and Express held nightly concerts at Harry O's, James Franco let loose at the Playboy event, and Adrian Grenier enjoyed a Chefdance meal. There was a lot going on, and it's just the first couple of days, even Oprah is here! Many of Hollywood's biggest stars headed out to LA's California Science Center last night for the annual Heaven Gala thrown by the Art of Elysium, the organization dedicated to getting artists to volunteer their talents to help children battling serious medical conditions. James Franco was on hand to receive the Spirit of Elysium award for his dedication to the charity, and we snagged a minute with him on the red carpet before he headed inside for the cocktail hour -?he confided that his preparation for hosting the Oscars with Anne Hathaway is going well. He's made the award season rounds after getting lots of critical love for his role in 127 Hours, but his personal faves of the year were The Town, Inception, and I Am Love. A Rodarte-clad Kirsten Dunst and a Zac Posen-wearing Rachel Bilson also smiled for the cameras, while Nicole Richie experimented with a bold '20s look -?check out Fab's picks for the top 20 outfits of the evening! Rachel was feeling under the weather, but she still turned out to lend her name to a cause she told us is very near to her heart. Brad Goreski made a dapper appearance, and he mentioned that he's been super busy jet-setting around the world working on his brand new styling gigs. Jesse Tyler Fergusson and Jennifer Love Hewitt shared their excitement for tonight's Golden Globes, and True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello lovingly smiled for the cameras with his wife-to-be Audra Marie. Leighton Meester showed a little skin in her deep V sequined gown, but she had to skip out on the actual event, which included dinner and a Vogue-sponsored fashion show.
